My son desired strongly to attend UGA, although he did not have the competitive grade point average and SAT scores to secure acceptance at UGA. Judy helped my son fine-tune his college application, focusing on his leadership and community service, rather than solely on academia, meanwhile coaching him to present his unique personality through his written essays. She suggested strategic ideas to maximize his chance of admission to UGA - and he was successfully accepted to the college of his choice!

I have used Judy Ritter in two capacities.  We have used her for college overview and strategy information as well as language arts tutoring

 It seems that neither of my sons have had stellar LA teachers in school.  My senior also is much more math oriented.  He met with Judy during the summer prior to his junior year and discussed his summer reading and those assignments.  During his junior year, he was named as an outstanding LA student and received recognition for the best research paper in his class.  Granted, I have to give him some of the credit for this, but her guidance seemed to be what pushed it in the right direction.  My 9th grader has been in TAG LA for the last two years and I felt they really glossed over the fundamentals in addition to having teachers that seemed a bit distracted.  He met with her last summer and commented that he had never heard some of the things she was teaching him and wished he had started it sooner.  I plan to continue to use her in this capacity for the 9th grader and rising 9th grader.

RE the college information, she has helped us with narrowing our search as well as the approach.  She has clarified procedures and will be working with my son on his college essays as well as the presentation of his application.    Judy also agreed to speak to a group of about 20 parents at my home. 

  We have been very pleased in our work with Judy.
